It's been a long time since I purchased ram..But Ive got a problem...Last night I popped to PC world and got a 512mb DDR2 DIMM stick of RAM PC2-6400.

But, the gap in the pins is off by about 2mm?!

So, what is the RAM I acutally need?

Don't know but it sounds like you need the original DDR, DDR2 is not backwards compatable.

pricey too for only 512mb. dont go for generic ram either.

try this to work out what ram you need.

memory-express.co.uk/ind…=30

You could also use the RAM scanner on the Crucial website whic will tell you what types and speeds of RAM your motherboard can use:

Good luck!

Did you ever get your RAM problem sorted out, mate?
