Help/Advice needed re: damaged goods from eBlay

I have just had a pc delivered by TNT which was bought on eBlay paid by Credit Card through PayPal, I have signed as "not checked" on the TNT received form. however when i unpacked the system the Graphics card and Heatsink were hanging free with some damage to the heatsink and the4 retaining clips.

Hopefully some of you helpful folk on here can advise as to what i shoud do, best course of action.

As it is the sellers responsibility to properly package the item for postage. If at all damaged you are entitled to have a refund. Tell them this post it back and they should refund you (but not for the cost of you sending it back to them)

i think now they have to refund your return cost too...

If the seller does not respond or is unhelpul remember you can lodge a dispute via eBay and eventually even get your money back from Paypal. Be sure to read the T&Cs though, and be aware that you have a limited time to do this - my wife discovered to her expense that she had waited too long after a seller did not reply to her complaint, and it was too late to escalate the dispute.

Hopefully the seller will do the right thing though!

Ive had 2 brand new pcs, one of them from dell, that the insides were rattling around, and needed re seating, i wouldnt bother with disputes unless something actually got broken tho. ask him for a small refund for the heatsink, show pics.

was it from a private seller or a trader?

OP- is there a reason for calling it 'eblay'?
