    Help/advise on R4 cards.

Hi, i want to back up my daughters games for her ds. Im not interested in downloading games, i just want her to have one cartridge as she's only 5 this month and she's going to lose all the games!
Ive searched the site and am so confused on all the options egde/r4/acecard.....
Whats the safest, easiest to use, not too worried on price.

You can't back up the games you already have without illegally downloading them again.

    Yes you can.
It just isn't as straight forward and as easy to do as downloading.
Use Google to find out how to do it.

The r4 is the most well known but not the best anymore. The r4 is a minefield of supported firmware for official r4's, unofficial r4's etc. Go for the acecard, it is better.

    or use a ttdcard ?

Anyone got any links for a good deal for a card and a memory card? Im looking at r4/acekards and there is about 15 options!! Its just a basic ds lite.

goto price angels the ttds card is fine for the ds lite.......only about 3.70for the card

R4 cards are unreliable and don't work on newer games
Get a M3 Card from 7 day shop
Very reliable card and good retailer

You'll also need a microSD card 2gb should be plenty for now

You need to download the firmware to put on the card from (Latest System V4.7h X)
    dsgogogo.com/

Put the firmware in the root of the card ( should be a folder called system )
Create a game folder called NDS in the root and put all your games (homebrew of course) in there.
Backing up your games is a grey area in legality and downloading them is totally illegal !

You can do it Cheaper but I find this system very reliable, and firmware is updated regularly.
