help..........I need to write a letter.

    I bought a fridge freezer about 3mths ago and it hasnt worked, the freezer keeps defrosting. had the repair man out 5 times and it still not fixed. he is due out again in 12days after ordering yet another part which has already been replaced once.
    I want are money back or a replacement and have been told to sent a recorded letter to comet but i have no idea what to write. Can anyone help?


    Do you have dates on which it has been repaired? If so include them

    Scan and print or photocopy any documents you have that are related to the fridge freezer and send those with the letter

    Detail what the problem is, what has been done about and why you are not happy with this. Explain exactly what you want

    Check with the company who makes it.. I had a problem with a samsung american fridge freezer from currys, currys kept sending a repair man out, I got so fed up with it, I contacted samsung and bypassed currys, within 10 days I had a new one delivered. Their policy is if you have a call out for the same fault more than 4 times you get a refund or a new item. Hope this helps good luck!

    thanx for the both of you. It eill be the 6th time the have comer out. Hoover made the fridge, gonna stick with the letter as we been in touch with Trading Standards and they told us to write a letter

    ok, good luck.. If you dont get far, ring hoover and demand a new product.
