Go here and look at the Aquatouch shavers from 100 quid upwards: philips.co.uk/c-m…est
In my opinion Philips are the best with the three floating heads, you can take this model into the shower. I'm sure others will have different opinions but I've been shaving for 30 years and now I wouldn't use anything else but a Phillips. Avoid the shavers with the foil heads they just can't do the contours of your face, hope this helps!

Hi yes he does it's a Philips Williams f1

If theres nothing wrong with the old one then buy a new set of blades for them. They cost about the same as a new razor

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, he's just been moaning about it because he's had it for years but I don't wanna ask him about it because I want it to be a surprise lol

I wouldnt be so sure, I had the Philips Nivea and then Williams but switched to Sensotouch3d and it is useless compared to the other two despite it being more expensive

Shavvets are good I have one and I'm 21 when you get used to using one feels like a nicer shave after

The up to date version of your boyfriend's shaver is the one that WhatsThePoint has suggested. It gets good reviews and a score of 72% on Which? Magazine website. If you buy it from John Lewis you get an automatic two year guarantee and John Lewis have great customer care if anything goes wrong. johnlewis.com/phi…167

If you think he would like a slightly different more up to date looking one, there is this a little above your budget - Philips Senseo Touch RQ1175/17. amazon.co.uk/Phi…HPE Which? Magazine gives it a very good 79% score but they do say this -

If you don't need the beard comb attachment, you'd be better off choosing model RQ1180/17, which comes without one and is around £40 cheaper.
    Should I buy it?

Yes, this Best Buy shaver ticks all the boxes - unless you really want a pop-up trimmer.

Pros: Gives a close comfortable shave, quick charge, LED display, very quiet, easy to clean under running tap

Cons: No pop-up trimmer, precision shaving isn't as easy as it could be

    Hope this helps!

Hi, I had the braun 790cc electric razor and love it! The cc in the model number denotes the cleaner accessory the razor drops into to clean it every night, meaning no more bits of hair inside he blades, easier shave and it feels like new every morning. The cartridges work out about £3-4 a month but worth it for a fresh feel every morning.

shaver, micro pulse vibrations adjustable, pop up trimmer, adjustable floating head, lockable head. Cc version includes heated element to dry quicker, sterilise blade ( reduces razor burn).

There are other series ( I had the 3 series cc versions and much prefer the 7 series if you can stretch to it).

Got mine off amazon so perhaps have a look at

5 series for £117 on amazon: Braun Series 5 5070cc-5

Or 7 series for 145: 745cc on amazon ( same as 790 but different trim. :-)

chances are he probably hasn't changed the blades on it then, due to the cost (i just buy a new razor due to only buying £40-£50 ones for this reason). Normally between £30-£40 for new rotary heads, so if the battery life isn't poor i get them and then spend the £60 left on something else.
