HMV packaging (plastic envelope) - WTF, Is this normal ?

After weeks of waiting, I finally received a boxset Id ordered from HMV the other day, unfortunately it arrived pretty beaten up. This was a result of HMV posting it to me in a grey plastic envelope. Seriously, I joke not! No cardboard, no bubble wrap, no padded envelope... absolutely no protection at all!

I thought HMV would have known better given selling DVDs are part of their core business. Anyway, I wonder if someone could tell me if this type of packaging is now normal practice at HMV (with DVDs)?

Thanks in advance.

I have had a couple of blu rays and ps3 games from them but they came in cardboard packaging

Can really sympathise with you, i mean theres nothing worse than not being able get your hands on the bubblewrap and pop every one.

My DVD prder last week came in the cardboard wrapping, this is how I have always received mine.

It's why I love buying from eBuyer so much. Ever popped an Airsac? Get a good one, and if you're good enough at sneaking up on people, it's a pretty fast way to get your grandpappy's inheritance.

HMV arn't very good when it comes to packaging everything i've ever had comes in an oversized cardboard box with no protection inside so it can just bounce about.
