HMV Payment Cards - Electron - Question

Found 14th Dec 2008
Hi All,

I've looked on HMV and they say they accept Electron:

hmv.com/hmv…327

But when it comes down to choosing the card type from the drop down list, Electron isn't there!

The options are:

Visa/Delta
Mastercard
Maestro/Switch
Maestro/Switch (No Issue Number)
HMV Card
American Express
Diners
Duet
Style Card

I've tried Visa/Delta as the card has a Visa Sign on it (clutching at straws I know!) and it appears to have accepted it!

However, I don't want anything being cancelled for it not matching up! I would ask HMV themselves, but they are only open Monday to Friday online!

Has anyone else had/got this problem?! If so, what have you done/chosen?

Many thanks in advance!

Thank you for your help!

I'll get a grown up card one day! I asked Abbey National (as they were then - I believe!) a few weeks before my 18th birthday about getting a more grown up card, and they said not to worry, I'd be offered one automatically as they send numerous mail outs when people hit 18 or no longer than 30 days after my 18th birthday! Needless to say, 5 years and 5 months later, I am still the proud owner of a Visa Electron Card.....

Gotta love 'em!

I've got one too and I'm older than you! Electron cards are great as there are zero card fees when booking flights via Ryanair x

Really? I never knew that! That's handy! I want to go to Dublin again, always used a Credit Card to book flights with them just for the security they give, but next time I'll look into the holiday insurance I will get and see what that covers me for!

Thanks again!
