    Holiday Help

    Hello.

Me and my little lady are expecting out first child in the new year. We have some time off work end of sept/ beg of oct and were going to go to greece but since this new development we feel that going abroad may be a challenge so want to stay in the uk.

My question is im looking for a really nice luxury cottage or apartment either by the seaside or by a lake etc. Somewhere romantic and relaxing. Also not too out in the sticks and a good pub is alway tops! We live in Bristol so most locations accessible. Has anyone been anywhere thats fits the bill?? Any recommendations? Budget of about £500 probably looking for a monday to friday.

Thanks in advance, i really want us to have one last romantic break just the two of us, so any help is appreciated

I think we have decided to stay in the uk plumberman. My other half is disabled too so I think the combination of it all may be a bit too much. Thanks for the suggestion though

Me and O/H stayed in the lake district in october last year I think the place was called Inn on the Lake (it was in Keswick) it was really nice there, and we did some fun activities. I'm not sure how much it cost though as my mother in law paid for it..... The only thing that wasn't that good was the weather....

I don't think so, I didn't see one lol but there's a room with a massive log fireplace in it which is nice in the cold weather... It was my 1st time going to lake district and I would definitely go back..... I did clay pigeon shooting while I was there which was fun (not at the hotel though it was a bit of a drive) and the zoo which is quite close is good.

Forgot to add that there is quite a big staircase so I don't know how suitable this would be for your O/H

Sorry for the double post but im still hunting! Has anyone been to any nice self catering cottages in the lake district? I prefer self catering rather than a hotel really.
