Holiday Ideas with a 1yr old and a 2yr old

As the title suggests I'm looking for inspiration on where to go on holiday with my partner and two girls aged 14 months and 25 months.

I'm not bothered if its UK or abroad but wouldn't like to have to fly more than a couple of hours.

We're already booked to go to Center Parcs with grandparents so can't go there before or Grandma would be gutted.

Just thought with all the parents on here people should have lots of experience of good family hols.

Thanks

I was in the same situation a few weeks back. After speaking to friends & various travel agents we decided to go to Alcudia in Majorca. It is a fantastic place to go for families & the flight is a reasonable 2 hours 15 mins (Doncaster).

I agree alcudia is really good, went there last year.

Yeah me to, we went to alcudia last year and stayed in the sol de alcudia. My two loved it (22month and 5yr at time) we've booked to go back next year

i went to son bou with my lad, in minorca, lovely and quite and he loved it. he was 2 1/2 at the time.

i have a son who is one next week we have taken him to centre parks with granparents also we went xmas shopping in manchester for 4 days and stayed in a lovely apartment

they will always up grade if a better room is free so for the three of us we had two double bedrooms and a cot close to the centre parking and it even had a dishwaser and washing machine
booked through super breaks with virgin cc and got 10% off husband is a big footy fan so did the old trafford tour etc

we have also taken our son twice to familyholidaysouthwest.co.uk/mai…cfm
staying in a static home on the beach good price you are on the private beach and great entertainment

and lastly we have taken our son to bournemouth too

I took my little boy to vegas/la/san francisco when he was one.... Dont let the age factor put you off.... We had a great time...
Go where you fancy going....

I find its more the hotel you stay in rather than where you go. I have took my children aged three and nine to many places, Disney World Florida, Spain, Disney Land Paris and many places in the UK including Bournemouth and Tenby.

My Husband is a BA and works in Bournemouth alot, fortunately i am a stay at home mum and get to travel with him! We stay at The Chine hotel]http//ww…uk/

This is a lovely family hotel, they have an indoor play area for the young children, baby listening system, baby sitting and best of all - room service!

There is lots to do in Bournemouth, the beach, pier, Sealife centre etc.

I pity the fool.:giggle:

Thanks for all suggestions. Will leave rep when aforementioned kids leave me alone.

xl.com have cheap deals that might be of use to you.spain or portugal are only a couple of hours away.

we have always had a great time on holiday with the kids as long as there is a pool or they can pop to the beach. Sand everywhere (and i mean everywhere) but they don't mind a bit.

We've done majorca, minorca, portugal and we're trying costa tropical Icosta del sol) this year.

my favourite and the kids is portugal for the fabulous beaches and cleanliness of the place. carvoiero is a very small place so no lager louts etc just good family environment.

we've tended to stay in private apartments (ownersdirect.co.uk are great) and these tend to have sky tv etc so in the heat of the day they can go inside for a cool off and a chill watching a little tv.

hope you have a wonderful time, but beware kids still moan (well, ours do) the same abroad as they do at home.
