Holiday in Dubai, Atlantas, The Palm

Found 9th Jul 2010
Were of to Dubai in August for 10 days, Hubby works over there so we haven't seen him for 3 months by the time we get there! Appart from on skype, Am really looking forward to it, Am taking the two youngest boy's who are 4 and 11.

He's book us in at the Atlantis, the Palm Dubai, for 2 nights give us three days free admission to the water park, The lost Chambers, not sure about the dolphin bit.

Anyway has anyone on here been there before? Is the food going to be mega bucks? Think I'm more worried about the money thing than hubby is! He's more laid back than me!

Surely your husband will know prices of food and stuff if he has been living in Dubai. Food is expensive in Dubai and where your staying is also mega bucks!!!! I would probably avoid eating at that hotel if your avoiding expense, and find somewhere else to eat.

You will have the best time ever out there!

update.........there is prices on their website - havent you already looked on there?

that's the hotel that Peter Andre stayed in, it was on his programme the other week. Looks lovely

The food! at the parks.

There are some brilliant restaurants at the atlantis...........
would recommend Nobu and kaleidoscope (great buffet) and the edge (terrific view of the sunset)
there is plenty to eat all over dubai....... though would suggest the malls for the afternoon to avoid the heat.
The Walk at JBR is a fantastic strip with dozens of restaurants which is pretty busy in the evenings.
However remember that Ramadan would be starting around the second week of august and most restaurants will remain closed for lunch.

Shame you couldn't leave the kids at home, and you enjoy a 10 day shagfest.
