thinking about booking my summer holiday now

i've found that the BA website gives me the best flight deals somehow, i need to find hotels.

first travel period is from 20/07/07 to 27/07/07 thinking of going to italy, venice. (or any recommendations for italy?)
second im not sure of yet, but will be after the first, don't know where, possibly egypt?

anyone got any tips on how i can make the most out of my money?

over on MSE they have a whole thread re Hotel Loopholes, some people are actually getting there hotels for nothing in the end...its under the travel section and i think the title of the thread is about Barcelona Hotels although its not just about Barcelona hotels! It is to do with Easyjet price promise, they will give you double the difference if you book with them, then see the EXACT hotel/room on another site cheaper. As i said, go to MSE and have a read of it, all the ins and outs etc.

so many to choose from. does anyone have any recommendations of hotels or resorts?

Hiya morales, i went on holiday with one of the companies on ministry of holidays, i would advise to stick with thomas cook and the known companies as the not so known are not as efficient as the known ones, the unknown holiday names tend to be a bit shoddy and more complicated and not so straight forward, you get liike 10 pieces of copied paper and you have to phone the coach before it picks u up etc, so go for thomas cook and sunset, i love thomson, they are efficient and on the ball, i have travelled with thomson 5 times now to turkey and i would not go with anyone else now. There are some good lanzarote deals with thomson, have a browse

I work in the travel industry and wouldn't always recommend going with the big operators like Thomson or Thomas Cook, you can get better deals with other operators or booking flights and accommodation separately, otherwise known as dynamic packaging. I would recommend only booking with companies that are ABTA members and have an ATOL licence, it will tell you on websites at the bottom normally if they have these.

will be looking out for those, not that i really know what they mean. thanks

If you book with an ABTA member then your money is safe should anything happen to the company, any company offering flights requires to have an ATOL licence as well

btw is there such a thing as a car rental company for between 18 and 21 year olds? as in one that isnt for over 21s only, but for over 18s

Not sure, most tend to be over 21. Any that I have had dealings with have been over 21 but there may be one somewhere
