Home brew - Cooling electric kettle

1
Posted 5th May
Hi,

I am planning to buy a 30l Burco manual fill kettle (burco.co.uk/pro…30l ) to start home brewing.

The question is - has anyone used similar kettles and how do you do the cooling of the wort? I really am trying to avoid wort chillers with water flow as I don't have a use for the heated water and draining it down the sink would make me feel extremely uncomfortable. But I can't think of another way of cooling the wort.

it's an electric stuff so I can't sink it in a cold water/ice tank...

Would it work if I transfer the wort into another container and cool it or does it spoil the stuff.

thanks in advance

Do a search on 'Home brew no chill'
It's fairly common esp. in Australia
