I have been waiting all week for a delivery from Amazon (thankfully you can track the parcel with them). Yesterday I noticed it had gone out on the van the previous day but no card had been left. I managed to find a phone number for the St Neots depot and phoned them. The parcel had apparently gone out twice in the last two days but there was noone in....when did they try to deliver? After 7pm....to a work address! Did they leave a card either time? No! I have arranged another attempt for tomorrow but don't expect much as i notice today that they had supposedly tried again but the "address is incorrect"!!!
Why do people use this company?! I have never once had a good experience dealing with them!!

weird i actually like HDN and all my parcels have arrived fine and thats quite a few, suppose it just depends on the driver

best delivery firm out there imo. always get top class service.

if i know a website uses these people i wont order from them - they are just one big bucket of stress!!!!

They're good enough to leave my packages with my helpful neighbours but can't be bothered to leave a card to inform me!
I got amazon customer services to phone me about it and they were quick enough to get on the phone to HDNL area management.

City Link is the one I have issue with.

Cards put through door with zero attempt to knock and when I went to pick one up from the depo I have never seen a shiftier group of 'kids', the oldest looked about nineteen and they all wore random baseball caps.

I agree with this,surely it depends on the driver/s my usual one is fab,really nice and helpful,aside from arriving at the door smoking lol

Don't get me started with these muppets. 3 attemps this week to deliver a parcel at my home address & each time the tracking system said a card had been left at 18:15 as nobody at home. No card had been left & plenty of people at home at that time of the day. More like the driver had ran out of time so didn't even bother & took it back to the depot. Eventually I had to go get it myself. Freakin useless.

In reality, the depots are getting their parcels far too late (as they are waiting later and later for the collections from retailers in the evenings). They are trying to keep the retailers happy by offering really late ordering times AND next day delivery. My Local depot used to send the vans out at 8am, now its 10:30am). This puts immense pressure on the drivers who have more work to do, in less time to do it. So any parcel like amazon that says safe place, gets left safe place as there is really no time to muck around.

i had trouble with these after ordering a new pc from dabs, they sent it to cardiff when i live near blackpool, then they lost it, then on the second order to replace the 1st, they damaged the box so would not deliver it, also dabs customer service is ****, and still tried to charge me delivery for the pc, when i never even got it, so after two weeks of messing around with both companys, i bought my pc somewhere else.

HDN= cr*p !, imo, last year they forced open our garage door ,left four huge parcels and couldnt shut the garage door (they had snapped the coil thingy!) so they just left it as it was !!, i arrived home at 2.30pm to see the entire contents of our garage and the parcels on full view ! according to a neighbour it had been like this since 9.30 that morning !!, it cost us £120 to get garage door repaired and HDN say they have no record of the delivery ( convenient eh ) we are still trying to claim back the money to this day !! total muppets they are

I missed the delivery on a friday then re-arranged it for next friday which was my day off and they came saturday evening .....bit strange i didn't think they delivered on a saturday and on a day i didnt arrange bizarre!

Could you give me the phone number for HDN at their St. Neots Depot please? They've misplaced a parcel of mine too.

It's an antique Singer sewing machine with treadle - it's huge and very heavy How can they lose it?

I had clothes coming from Topman for a holiday. Still hadn't come the day before so I called up and it'd been sent to a depot on the opposite side of the country. They didn't nothing to help, thankfully Topman refunded, and even compensated me.

HDNL, I specified a day to deliver,they didn`t, they said they couldn`t sort out my address although all the details were there, hopeless, can you spare a day waiting for poor quality service? or another day? and yet another?

Have waited in for three days for a delivery from HDNL. Today, being the fourth day, I phoned the retailer (presents for men). They could not have been more helpful, they have reordered my items and are sending it by next day delivery free of charge (the delivery is free, not the items!). They could also access parts of HDNL website which the public cannot, and apparently my parcel has been sitting in HDNL depot in Warrington for four days, being ignored!!! There is no apparent reason for this, apart from the fact that HDNL employs idiots and then seems to subject them all to frontal lobotomies! I will never use another retailer who has a contract with HDNL, and would highly recommend that everyone reading this does the same.

HDNL said they had delivered my order from Amazon and left it in the garage....strange as the garage door is always locked and the lack of a delivery notice made me suspicious! I rang the customer service who were next to useless, I did though get a direct number for Amazon (0800 4961081) who have been helpful. I have cancelled my order from Amazon and requested a full refund. I intend to email HDNL regarding this order and ask for a full explanation.....if the driver has left the order in another garage I wonder what the law has to say about entering a property without permission?
