Honeymoon in Florida - October 2009

Hi,

First time post, but a long time viewer of the site. Was wondering if anyone out there knows the best place to look for a holiday in October to Florida, preferably in the Animal Kingdom Lodge at Disney's Animal Kingdom (also has anyone stayed here that can tell me what its like?) - and yes, as above, it is for my honeymoon, getting married on October 11th - So dates after that would be perfect!!

Thanks all

Try thedibb.co.uk/ for loads of extra info.
Hope this helps?

Have been searching the net for ages, going to floriday this year as well.

Best site I have seen so far is florida4less.co.uk/

I have been to florida a few times. Disney hotels are good as you get let loose before gates open. But have to say villa's is the best overall experience and cheap as well, food etc. Above website is good for villas, you can also ring them up to change who you fly with.

October is a lovely time to go, the weather is lovely! I got married there a few years ago at that time of the year and it was perfect. I have stayed in many Disney hotels but not animal kingdom lodge but i know many pple who have and enjoyed it. Especially when staying in a room overlooking the savanna.

As mentioned previously i used the dibb and also disboards. Very helpful boards

I never book with the same company, i have been with first choice, disney UK but have never booked with Virgin, i find them very expensive!
Look out 4 deals, i had an amazing deal from expedia 2 yrs ago for 2 adults, 2 children staying at POP, flights with Virgin for £1,800 in august! Shop around but may be worth trying DisneyUk, they have some good offers x

Hi all,

Thanks for your replies. Ive had a quick look at all the sites (meant to be working lol), and will have another look at lunchtime, but they all seem good. Was always the girlfriends (well fiancees) dream to get married at dineyworld, but we have twin boys just under a year old and i have a huge family, so we decided to get married over here so everyone could go, then take the honeymoon there. Thanks for your help guys, its appreciated

I was there for Halloween 2007, the Universal Horror night is something I was glad I didn't visit. We spoke to people who queued for 2 hours a ride, so really wasn't worth going for the evening.

we booked direct with disney and got the free dining plan
you have to get the bride and groom ear hats soooooo cute

and the free just married badges from Guest Relations at the parks.

I'd also suggest that you look on The Dibb. Think there is a section for weddings.

On a budget, it's hard to beat Travel City Direct.
