    Hotel In Amsterdam

Hi i'm looking for a hotel for two nights next month that's not to far from Dam square or Amsterdam centre and not too pricey.. any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated

I would also appreciate suggestions of things of interest to do other than the red light district and smoking.

    ride a bike

Rahhh get yourself a Hookah ffs lol

Wot you want is somewhere like the AVENUE just right across the road and literally a 5 minute walk from Central Station....its on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.

The Heineken Experience is good if you're into beer. House of Bols is similar (a tour) and also recommended. The Nemo interactive science thingy was also very good. If you're going to the cinema goto the Tuschinski, it's an old theater that now serves as a cinema.

The Rijks Museum wasn't to my taste but comes highly recommended, however it is under development so all the museum isn't open. I preferred the Sex Museum myself.

you have to go down the red light district for the crack!

I've stayed in the victoria hotel many times, and it's a very good 3*. A stones throw away from The RLD, Dam square and the train station - excellent base IMO.

I read about it in the Time Out series :whistling:

Why not stay in a hostel? There not that bad, was there for 4 nights and rele cheap.

Oh and if you go down red light district, dont go down the alley where the birds are there with red lights in the windows, go to see the ones with blue lights

Me and my partner stayed here in January, was reasonably cheap and was brilliant. There was a great buffet breakfast available and is very close to both the train station and dam square.
