Hi, I've recently stayed in Paris. I can recommend a small 3* hotel near to the business district (French equivalent of Canary Wharf - Called La Defense) 5-10 mins walk from Metro station. Prices are reasonable. Secure parking is available at a small charge - worth it though instead of parking on the ridiculously crowded streets. The rooms are small, but comfortable with Air Con, LCD TV and Free wireless internet access. The breakfast is also very good. A great base for doing all of the sights in Paris! Hotel website: paris-hotel-dauphin.com/uk/…php - P.S. Staff speak English!

Hope this is of use to you / anyone else visting Paris.

I have stayed in several small hotels in Paris and i find the Ibis in the Bastille area the most reliable and central.

The rooms are quite small as you often find with these hotels but i have always found this one to be clean and the staff helpful.

There are some really nice ones in Porte D'Orleans' it's a bit further out of the city but it's really quaint and the metro runs until late anyway, plus the hotels are cheap around there.
