    Hotel recommendations in Blackpool.

Me, the wife and another two couples are going up to Blackpool in May and we're looking at booking a hotel.

We're staying the Friday and Saturday and are willing to pay up to £50 per night for a tidy place.

I know there are hundreds of B&B's and hotels available but was wondering if any of you have had good experiences of places you've been to.

    Thanks.

The lyndene and st chads i believe next door are both lovely - lyndene is the big blue one on the seafront pretty much in the middle

me and the misses when we went stayed in the central travelodge, cant complain about the place, was clean and provided us with shelter when we stayed there, we got it in their £9 a room a night promo they do (Now changed to £10 a room per night) stayed there twice now and no grumbles both times we stayed there

I dread to think what a £50 room is like...

A big group of us stayed in one practically next to the Pleasure beach set slightly back from the road. Sorry i can't remember the name though. It was an all inclusive weekend that cost us £85 each. The rooms were basic but clean, and the food was really good.

It's Blackpool!!!! as long as the bed and bathroom are clean it's just somewhere to get your head down for 2 nights.

Just bear in mind with the ones on the prom that the prom is being done up so lots of roadwork dotted about might not be that pleasant to see or get to.

My only recommendation is don't go.

Sounds like someone's going for a cheeky swingers weekend...

    sickly sweet

I would strongly recommend you stay well clear on Blackpool on the weekend of the 7th 8th May. It is the national Young Farmers AGM and very very wild. :-).. Unless you like very very wild..

I wish! Nah, all jokes aside, we're heading up for a day in Alton Towers on the Friday then driving up to Blackpool for the Friday and Saturday night.
