The bus from the airport to the city centre is only a 30 minute journey. You'd be better staying near Stephen's Green, Temple Bar, O'Connell Street. area. That way you don't have far to walk after a visit to the numerous pubs! Are you looking for a hotel or serviced apartments? We use serviced apartments quite a lot over there so if you want names of places let me know.

Regards, oh and you'll have a ball (hopefully the Euro and the Pound stay static, otherwise it will be an expensive trip!)

I am from dublin and there is no point in staying out by the airport there is nothing there - your better off in the city centre as the post above says there is a direct bus that is 30 mins into city centre and i think a return ticket is rougly 12 euro taxis are very expensive in dublin compared to uk - once your there in city centre everything is walking distance - shops , pubs , nightlife and places to eat

depending on they type of accomadation your looking for - there are some great hostels and they are not back packer types either cheap and cheerful try this link gogartys.ie/acc…on/ its dead central in middle of temple bar - otherwise try jurys hotels christ church is central as is blooms hotel

Taz, dont stay too near the airport or you will find it hard going anywhere in Dublin.

I echo the poster above. The best places is to stay in and around the City Centre as Dublin has alot of attractions and if you stay 30+mins away then its going pretty rubbish.

As you're trip does not include a Fri or Sat then you should be able to get some reasonably priced hotels. Whats your limit?

Serviced apartments are like fully furnished flats that you hire out on a nightly basis so you get a room, kitchen, livingroom etc.

soz i just saw your pm, i hought i had you on msn so was waiting for you to sign in lol.

dublinbus.ie/sig…spx a great way to see everything, valid for 24 hours too, stops at most tourist spots, you can hop on 'n' off as you like - few stops in oconnell street

heritageireland.ie/en/…ol/ - really enjoyed this, apparently the original italian job was filmed there

guinness-storehouse.com/en/…spx - apparently a must see but i found it a tad boring tbh lol

dublinbus.ie/sig…spx - great fun!! interesting too, lots of history inc bram stoker

dublincastle.ie/ - we didnt make it - the pub won

Temple bar is a must, a lil expensive but worth a visit, pub after pub, but also great music, we loved the bands in fitzsimons

Shopping galore, loads off of o'connell street and also st stephens green has a great mall and tons of shops

food is available everywhere, whatever you fancy, charlies chinese is lush, yum yum

cab from airport was around 25-30 euro's or bus is 6 each, bout half hour drive

not sure what you's like to do? but you will have a fab time, im jealous, can i come?
