Hotpoint BHWD129 or Indesit IWDE12 - which one is better?

Found 12th Sep 2008
I need to buy an integrated washer dryer like yesterday (ok well this afternoon at the latest) and there are 2 models on the empire direct website that seem very cheap. Has anyone got either of them or any views on thm. The models are: Hotpoint BHWD129 (£379.99) and Indesit IWDE12 ( £319.99). Hoping for a fast response.Cheers.

indesit make hotpoint. they seem very much identical and are probably the exact same machine under the cover. So buy the cheaper.

Hello I was told that Hotpoint took over indesit as I was purchasing the Hotpoint model you mention, from personal experience my advice is don't.

The hotpoint model is noisy, the soap dispenser broke after 3 weeks, the programmes are terrible only certain ones actually spin meaning the same programmes have to be used. The control buttons have to pressed at least 3 times or it fails to start, I've had servicers out and they replaced faulty bits and its not even a year old. The clothes do not clean well and the dryer burns the clothes - I could go on as I truly despise it!

The model in my kitchen is heading for the scrap yard the minute I get the ok from my husband - he does't see the problems with it, he doesn't use it.

Zanussi and Miele get excellent reviews,a little pricey but with good guarantees, and we have a Miele washer and dishwasher at work ,they are both fab and thoroughly clean anything they face.
