Hot tub contract lift

hi just wondering if anyone has had a crane lift a hottub over their house ?
I've been doing some research and found I need a contract lift, which puts the crane hire company in charge of all aspects and responsibilities of insurances safety etc..
I'm going to contact a few companies to come and assess the situation and quote, I'm just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of price they paid and if I need to contact bt to disconnect phone line above my drive and maybe have to contact the council for some reason or would the company do all of this ?
I'm hoping the cost is around £1000 or maybe little more, hopefully someone has had one lifted and has some info ? thanks

Sorry if I'm missing something but why would you need a hot tub lifted …Sorry if I'm missing something but why would you need a hot tub lifted over your house?

Because the op is obviously buying a proper hot tub and not an inflatable one. A crane is common practice for a hot tub to be lifted over the house if access isn't great for the back garden.

If you do a contract lift then the crane company take care of absolutely everything. If you do self hire then you are responsible.

Preparing Risk Assessment & Method Statement
Liaising with any relevant authorities such as Highways Agency/Police
Providing all equipment, crane operator and a banksman
All of work fully insured from start to finish

Thanks, thought so. I can relax then and just let them deal with it all, the extra money is definitely worth not having to worry about a disaster like it falling through mine or my neighbours roof etc.
Hopefully someone will have an idea of cost if not ill just have to wait until they come and quote.
Thanks buddy

Because it weighs 300kg and I have an outbuilding behind my gate which is also quite far from the drive at rear of house so it would need lifting 10 feet up onto the roof and then back down which isn't really possible or safe to attempt.
So the crane will lift it straight over the house

You’ve obviously never seen four crackheads want £100 that badly then!

I wouldn't trust a crackhead with an inflatable arm band

It would be cheaper to get scaffolding errected and hoist it up and down.

Thanks i will look into this however don't think it could be done, i mean its possible if the scaffold can support 300kg but who would do it, the hot tub specialist wouldn't be willing to do it as its too risky and i wouldn't really trust people with no hot tub experience.
For it to fit over the gap above my gate and out building it would have to stay on its side so 300kg 2 meters tall, narrow and topples very easy, can't see anyone doing it and its dangerous and risks losing £6000.
The standard procedure is the crane, if scaffold was easily done, that would be common practice.
Thanks for the help though, i will look into if its been done

Standard procedure for crane over house due to height and depth.

Hard to say exactly without seeing the area.

Do you have a neighbours garden it can come though.

A few quid passed to them and a couple of new fence panels would be cheaper and easier to do as well.

My neighbours no, but I've began looking at the homes over the back, I'm sure they would be happy with some cash, then just need a dolly with large rubber tyres to go over grass as the usual ones have small plastic wheels.
Some Hot tub specific dolly's I've seen are like a large skateboard with large wheels that would work, now just need to find a suitable neighbour lol ill have a look tomorrow, been busy last few days hanging new doors so forgot about it.
Thanks
