    House Alarm

Hi all, hope you've had a great christmas and a better new year.

I'm moving house on the 08/01 and the house I'm moving to doesnt have a alarm. So I was hoping my friend on hukd can help me with this. Ideally I'm looking at spending around £80 so if anyone know of any deals please let me know.

    Regards

Check out the Yale packs, they are wireless and easy to fit.
You can add to them at a later as well but at least you get a bell box up straight away and some cover on front door and windows....

I have this one, it calls your mobile phone when you are away from the house, or can call a neighbours phone instead

B&Q is worth a look espec at this time of year they usually do the alarm packs (dont know if they are yale), but you may even be lucky to get one in the sale.

My crime prevention police had advise me the wireless / DIY alarms are rubbish and can be easily disalarmed !!!...... My wired alarm costed me £700+ and its worth every penny.
But again, a Diy alarm is better than nothing , epecially straight after christmas!!!

We are all aware there are better systems but the OP said £80 so it limits the choice.
No system is totally secure but any system including dummy boxes could deter the opportunist chav looking for a bit of drug money, if you have a houseful of antiques and jewellery you should maybe look for something better....:whistling:
