    How am I covered if i use a site that offers check out using protx

    want to buy some office supplies, cheapest quote comes from e-printsupplies.co.uk
    offers payment through PROTX, dont have credit card so would use debit, anyone have some advice?

    As far as I am aware, they are just a secure card processing service who authorise the transaction so that your details are never actually provided to the site/company, but instead go through Protx as a third party. Your rights are the same as with any other card transaction.

    ProtX is just a payment gateway very much like worldpay or paypal. It just a card processing server whereby you enter your details they process your payment and get authorised by the banks, you card get debited and the vendor will then get credited that amount for your purchase. Overall its a safe payment gateway. There are many internet websites that use ProtX.
