    How big is your tip?

Do you tip the pizza delivery lad /gal when they lob a 12 incher in your hand?
Or do you think you have paid enough and dont tip?

Also, do you tip the man who delivers your shopping?
If not, what is the difference?

    ditto

Where do you get your pizzas from if you have girls lobbing 12 inchers in your hand

I don't tip the pizza man - My pizza cost enought thank you very much.

Our online shopping guy refuses tips, well isnt allowed to take them apparently, from OCADO.

men tip women dont ( my excuse lol )

I would tip ten percent in a restaurant if I was satisfied with the food and service,no longer tip taxi drivers altho I did once upon a time but they are expensive enough now methinks.

dont do online food shopping myself-our drivers at asda arent meant to take tips altho I know some of them do accept em.

tipping should be the exception rather than the norm imho-if someone goes out of their way to help you then they deserve something extra-dont think someone should be tipped just for doing their job-however I am aware that some delivery drivers for pizzas etc need tips to supplement the meagre amount they get.

I really don't see the point in tipping. Buy a pizza, and you're paying something like a tenner including delivery. Add a tip, and, £12 for a single-course meal with no drink that you eat in your own house? Yeah, that'll be right.

Tipping taxi drivers is the same. £7.80 for a ten minute ride. Just call it a tenner? Like hell. These guys earn £40k. And you think they'd be inclined to tip the corner shop owner struggling to make ends meet as he works the graveyard shift because, basically, serving steak slices to drunk people at 4am is the only way to keep up the lease? Exactly.

I think tipping as a matter of habit is pointless. Okay, I do tip, but only when the service is extra good, or if I like the person. And I don't limit my tipping to the socially accepted tipees. I've given slices of pizza to bus drivers who've dropped me off nearer my house than they should have and not at stops, the passport office after they helped me massively after I totally dcked them about (picked up my passport, handed over giant tin of Roses), that sort of thing. The whole concept that you should give, and should only give, to taxi drivers, waiters, and delivery men (and that sort of crowd) sucks. And it's only an American thing, too. We have no call for it.

I dont tip people who deliver stuff, if I am impressed with the service then I use them again, which makes them more money in the long run.

I only tip if the service has been good, and the amount depends on how good the service was.

I am quick to complain when something isnt good enough, but I am also quick to praise (and speak to a manager, mentioning a name of someone who was particularly good etc)

Just this past hour dropped off a Captain Of Industry worth over £150 Million. (probably much more)

    TIP = ZILCH

Its always nice to leave a tip but my pizza man is rude & turned up stinking of alcohol the other day so he never gets tipped!!
I was tempted to shop him cos he was clearly over the limit.

If this is just what the driver is like just think about the bloke that makes them :w00t: use another delivery pizza company.

Its tops pizza & I love em or I would, he kinda hangs around for ages when I wait for the change as well which I don't like.
The delivery driver for the Chinese is always nice & polite so he gets to keep the change :w00t:

I dont tip, but when i ordered from a local takeaway (Large donner meat and chips x2 for me and a mate) the delivery driver ripped me off for a quid, i knew summat was up when he ran to his car. I mean say he gets 15 delivery's in one night? and does that, £15 for him!

I used to always tip because my dad used to work as a carpenter during the day and as a pizza delivery driver in the evenings to look after me when I lived with him and the wages were extremely dire.

My dad didn't mind if he didn't receive a tip but because of the circumstances we were in at the time, I began to tip about 50p-£1 depending on how quickly they delivered.

I don't tip often anymore as finances aren't as healthy as they used to be but I never tip my online shopping drivers, as I've already paid about £6 for delivery, whereas pizza delivery is free.
