Hello.
Someone has sent me a video I can watch online via citnow.com.

Does anyone know how I can save a digital copy on a usb or hard drive of it?

Really struggling.

It's an embedded vimeo video. Google will tell you how to download those.
I use jdownloader for almost everything, it downloads in the original quality. Very good software and it is free.
Just untick the boxes for bundles software when you are installing
Try something like KeepVid: keepvid.com/

Failing that google "download video from citnow" and plenty will show up. It's a case of trial and error with these but one should work for you.
If you don't use IDM, do you even internet bro?
In the past, I've used a screen capture (with audio) program. It's not ideal but can get you by. On Linux there's SCR (SimpleScreenRecorder) but I'm sure there will be something available on Windows if you have a Google.
