you mean the u600?
i mean the sgh-g600 sorry, not that techy
Phone up vodafone and they should give you a NUK code and instructions on how to unlock the phone
wont they charge me a fortune for that
if you're on a contract it will be free. If it's an old phone on pay as you go (I think over 12 mnonths???) it's also free.
*Waits for someone to post the unlock code that bricks your phone.
On newer phones that code will change the imei to all zeros which will stop it working on all networks.
I've used the method in the link above about 100 times and never reset an imei.

It's the short code that resets the imei on some phones. I thinks it's *#7337# or similar. DO NOT use that code on any phone.

hi jtx, can you, read through the thread and got so confused, any chance you could send me the run of it for this model, as i know as a muppet i will do it wrong otherwise. even though i am not blonde lol. thx
1-Turn on the phone without sim card .
2-Pull off the battery cover and insert any non-accepted sim card (without turning off the handset)
3-Do full reset *2767*3855# , phone will reboot and goes to Menu .
4-Customize Sp-lock code *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
5-Unlock your phone with new SP code #7465625*638*00000000#

Obvously at your own risk but I've never had a problem,

Press *#06# to check the imei once it has all worked

keeps asking for a network code, have only 3 goes left, so gonna have to pay vodafone i think.
When does it ask for a network code?

Have you put a non voda sim in without switching the phone off and done the reset?
Actually voda should unlock it free anyway how long have you been with them?
No free solution for G600, totally different HW from U600

Mobile shop/stall will charge a fiver ;-) In 2 minutes too....

Job done....

If the SP lock is still on after you have did the temporary unlock … If the SP lock is still on after you have did the temporary unlock follow below-add the codes below (don't power off)reactivate network lock, *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#. Deactivate the sp lock , *7465625*77*00000000*00000000#, enter #7465625*77*00000000# (to disable the sp lock). Then disable the network lock #7465625*638*00000000# and the phone is finally unlocked permanently
