How daft is this with couriers and the seller too?

Yesterday I had a delivery of a new ryobi petrol hedge strimmer and strimmer which was delivered by the same courier (by which I mean driver rather than company) which he both picked up and delivered he even had it on his van on Monday when picking a parcel up from me as he wasnt allowed to delivery it til it had been through the hub!

The seller lives less than five miles away so wouldnt you have delivered it yourself (I offered a cash payment for this) or allowed cash on collection which he wouldnt allow even after asking him? He charged £10 for delivery which he paid £15 for too so he lost on that one, I was also willing to pay the delivery even if I collected as it meant I could have got on with it this weekend just gone as I'm sick of chopping through cables on mowers/strimmers/hedge trimmers! Plus they was less than half the price of screwfix/dobbies etc even including the delivery.

  1. Misc
  2. Courier

Bought new electric edge trimmers time til cable got cut - 20 minutes.
Electric strimmer - survived so far but awkward with cable so expect it to be fubared sometime soon.

Both above replaced with petrol versions.

New electric lawnmower time til cable cut -
Anyone know a good deal on a petrol one of these bad boys, doesnt need to be heavy duty.

Thanks, that looks just the jobby!
My next door neighbour has a beast of a petrol mower, he gets a skateboard and rides behind it up and down the private road at the back of us when he's been on the shandies! May be able to race him with this one - lol joking.
148CC? that seems overkill though!

You seem like a guy who needs a bit of power in front of you....;-), plus surely it means it will just drag you around the garden :-D

Perhaps you can pimp it like Robot Wars :whistling:

Ive found one on ebay what looks identical (apart from the colour) to the mculloch but is power devil branded at £65 which is local, brand new and allows cash on collection with full warranty! I think though that a lot of power devil, mculloch, challenge and even JCB mowers etc are from the same factory as ive seen referbs all identical on them that the only difference IS the colour.
May have to cash up and go for that one!

means you can afford to buy a skateboard too or even some heelies
