How do I get glued mirrrors off a wall safely.

i am trying to remove glass mirror tiles off a wall but all they are doing is shattering. does anyone know how to remove them safely please?

No idea if there's a 'proper' way, but what about running some masking tape strips across the tiles before you start to pull them off. That way, when they break, maybe some of the pieces will hold together rather than fall everywhere... just a thought.

providing you realise that they will break anyway - i would criss-cross the whole area with wide masking tape, so that the broken peices can at least be held together

    goggles lol
    tried a bolster?
thing is the glue you use its ment to hold it to the wall so its not going to come off easy especially if its a big mirror put a dust sheet down and go easy

Thank you for your prompt replies I'm on the case now.

    If in doubt, duck it

then smash them with a hammer and the tiles should stick to the duck tape.

I used brown packing tape to cover the whole of the glass it worked a dream, many thanks to you all

Watch for splinters flying into your eyes!

I take it that a pallet knife (Wifes bread knife) slid down the back, doesn't work?

I never done it but wouldn't some glass suckers do it?
or those ones that are used to pull out car dents.

If you put tape over the entire mirror is keep together so not too many splinters, plus of course. goggles a must.

That Hard as Nails stuff you use to put things like this up really works. A knife down the back of mirror does the trick
