CopyTrans is a good bit of software which I used for backing up my Ipod.

Whats 02 got to do with it? i thought it was an ipod?

it can be done anyway here's another one to try: ipodrobot.com/

You can do it. You need to explore the folders within the phone. The tracks are all renamed as nonsensical things but windows knows their music. Once you have pulled them off insert them into iTunes to change the names back. I'll check when I get home and explain it a bit better if you've not got it sorted by then.

because ipod n iphone use same set up on itunes. hence why i asked o2

I use sharepod, just highlight all the songs once it detects your ipod and click copy to pc, easy!

it's nothing to do with itunes taking songs off the ipod or iphone

Just create an iTunes library backup to CD or DVD on your old computer and import it on the new one.
