How do I use the Amazon Echo Flex as a Nest Doorbell chime?

Hello,

I have a Nest Doorbell (battery) and according to Google I should be able to get visitor announcements through Alexa products. I have purchased an Amazon Echo Flex. I connected this to the Google Home app. I turned on visitor announcements in the doorbell settings. My Nest doorbell can be seen as a device in the Alexa app. But when I pressed my doorbell the Echo Flex did not announce a visitor.

I couldn't find a support email/number to contact regarding this matter, for both Amazon or Google, so I am reaching out to the community in case anybody has managed to do it!
