# How do I work this out?

Cant think of the best way to do it. I have 6 pieces of work for a module and the weighting is 5x19% + 1x5% which makes a total of 100%. I have all my marks and would like to work out my overall grade.

Thanks

I think you would need to know the overall marks or at least what the full marks were for each assignment

So you know the percentage you got for each module?

If so, for the 5 modules that are valued at 19% of your course multiply your module percentage by 0.19. For example if you got 50%, it would be 50 x 0.19.

For the 5% module, multiply your module percentage by 0.05.

Add up all the results, and thats your overall percentage.

I assume it wasn't in mathematics then?

It was actually, I averaged 8 out of 100.

Go onto Google and put this in:
(??% of 19)+(??% of 19)+(??% of 19)+(??% of 19)+(??% of 19)+(??% of 5)=

replace the ?? with your marks for each module. The "of 19" bit or "of 5" indicates the weighting. This is how I calculated my overall marks for modules at university.
