how do u deal with your fighting kids?

my 2 eldest 13 year old son and 11 year old daughter absoloutly hate each other!from morning to night they argue and fight its unbearable, they wake the rest of us up every morning with their antics
tonight i have just spent the past 2 hours in a&e as they were fighting and my daughter got punched in hand and i thought she may have broken finger luckily its just badly bruised
our other 3 children get on well together and im worried the eldest behaviour will rub of on to them too
its harder to deal with as the eldest 2 are from my previous relationship and they have none or little discipline there and every time they misbehaved at their dads i would be the one to dish out punishment but i got sick of it being one sided so said its not my prob what happens at your dads its up to him to deal with it,so since then there behaviour has got worse
how do u deal with your children?does anyone else have children that fight all day and night?

they have seperate bedrooms, problem solved

Another mum in A&E tonight, I have had the pleasure too but not due to fighting siblings.

My two fight constantly - 4 and 8 year old boys who both think they are the next Bruce Lee. I found filming them and showing it to them stopped them in their tracks.........briefly.

I am the eldest of three and when we fought my mum used to send us outside to do it - then she would either get the hose on us or a large bucket of water

You and dad need to get together about the eldest two and agree boundaries, tell him the problems it is causing you

o bless.... teenage years...im dreading it myself.... maybe see what that tania byron from bbc says...cos i used her tips discipling my toddlers....

tbh i cant imagine it being easy.... they are both at very stroppy ages! hehe

Well... when they disobey you in anyway and are misbehaving, you take all their branded trainers and shoes and hide them somewhere and replace them with £2.99 trainers off the market and tell them thats what they are wearing for school tomorrow

My 2 fight, however they are only 5 & 7 so easier to discipline than your 2. I can hardly imagine a 11 or 13 year old sitting on the naughty step !!! I'm not much help at all really, but as a teenager I was grounded if I was found to be doing anything like that and my daughter of 7 has been grounded twice for not doing as she was told etc.

usually report sassie to the mods

mine 12-14 ed - i have it as well - i am relieved when oldest comes and from school and says she is going out -

i do try to ignore them when they argue -

been told by so many people its an age thing

try to organise clubs for youngest to go a few nights a week - i did - and it does help

    you have my sympathies

me and my brother used to fight all the time between ages of 9-12 our dad left when we were 8-9, so yeah blame it on that really. You need to get a man in the house if you haven't already.

shout twice as loud. chuck them in seperate rooms and tell them if they so much as come out and row again you will stamp on there mobile phones or ipods!:whistling:
They will think you have completly lost the plot and be to scared to test u:thumbsup:
Ps if they do, follow it through and stamp away! LOL

ps... or send them to my boot camp! LOL

the age gap between my two is massive, so although they dont physically fight they bicker from morning to night, and yes it drives you loopy, when ive heard enough they get told to go to their rooms, like yours it doesnt stop them doing it again, but gives us all some time out

the 3 younger boys dont really fight just bicker as u say
but the other 2 physically fight damn kids should of come with a manual lol

take something off each of them when thy fight like my eldest lives for his psp or the pc so i ban him for a week and the other i take his ds away, it works for me, other than that keep them in separate rooms of the house or like someone else said send one or both to an after school club, keeps them apart for a while at least

Give them a slap that should work :whistling:

Great answer!! My son's only 2 and a 1/2 but I'm going to remember that one for later on!! :-D

Invest in a low level Tazer. Very effective and you will find after a couple of uses it won't be needed again.
