£30.00 - £599.99

5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance

So say its £550...

5.25% of 29.99 = 1.57
3.25% of 520.01 = 16.90

total = 18.47

Yeah sure mate, 3.25% of the remaining balance - which will be 520, because its 5.25% for the other 30 quid

Ah i found out why - technology items get different fees - i'll edit this post in a sec with details

EDIT:

5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.00% of the initial £30.00 - £99.99 (£2.10), plus 2.50% of the initial £100.00 - £199.99 (£2.50) plus 2.00% of the remaining closing value balance

5.25% of 29.99 = 1.57
3% from 30 to 99.99 = 2.10
2.50% from 100 to 199.99 = 2.50
2% of remaining balance = 1.70

Spot on

For that price yeah -

But if its over £300 on a tech item its different again..

£300.00 - £599.99

5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.00% of the initial £30.00 - £99.99 (£2.10), plus 2.50% of the initial £100.00 - £199.99 (£2.50) 2.00% of the initial £200.00 - £299.99 (£2.00) plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance

So if your 550 quid item is a tech item it will cost

5.25% of 29.99 = 1.57
3% from 30 to 99.99 = 2.10
2.50% from 100 to 199.99 = 2.50
2% from 200-299.99 = 2.00
1.5% from 300 to 550 = 3.75

Total = 11.92

3.25% of the remaining closing value balance is where most people get stung!
