How do you find out who someone is?

My bro in law met some fella at a car boot sale last summer, anyway every week they would meet up and chat at the same boot sale as I think this guy was lonely and just wanted someone to chat too.
Anyway after about a month he started taking my bro in law and his wife their 4 year old daughter out for meals etc...
The strange thing is they don't know anything about him except his first name and car he drives they don't know where he works, where he lives, his last name or anything and when they ask he just says I don't want to tell you. however he has been to their house and at Xmas he spent a fortune on them and showed up with a bin bag full of toys for their daughter.
I think this is a bit dangerous as they know nothing and he knows everything about them.
Weird eh?

If he was a psychopath I'm sure he would have killed them all by now, so they're probably safe:p

Errr he is allowing this man to become part of the family with the kids … Errr he is allowing this man to become part of the family with the kids without knowing who he is. How stupid can you get.Nonces groom parents before children. To get access to the kids. In b4 hysterical over reaction, I don't care, that's just odd and naive of the parents.Anyone buying favour like that who won't own up to who they are, massive alarm bells. Ugh.

They do it for the kids oO I've been grooming you for your undercrackers.

lmao

in b4 the "my brother in laws daughter has gone missing, HELP!" thread

Grow a pair and sort your sisters head out instead of putting it on here!

ffs this place is an absolute joke!

No, I'm serious, nonces latch on to people with children, buy favour … No, I'm serious, nonces latch on to people with children, buy favour with the parents, become part of the family, so the next stage is the parents leaving this new family best friend alone with the kids........It's sad but true. I'd be well wary of any bloke hanging around my family who wouldn't even tell me who he is. You can have them, I don't need grooming oO

I must admit it does sound verrrrry odd.

Wow..........that was easy.........last bloke that tried to get undercrackers got banned. X)

Sort him out. Lock, stock style.

how did he 'make friends' with someone who doesnt presumeably talk to them? surely they know something about him if not there is a reason!
and sy and tinks this is a family forum put your undies away!

sounds very weird i wouldnt risk it with a child they should have nothing to do with him as they dont know what he really is or could be

That's just plain weird, have a word!!!

The strange thing is....Is that they haven't told him to do one and are happy to put their daughter at risk for the sake of a few free meals.

This has got to be a wind up, are people this stupid????

is it this guy?

Bet you wouldnt leave your kids alone with him, i agree with most comments, rather be safe than sorry, no harm in checking, if he has nothing to hide then what's the problem.

Op you need to voice your concerns or your niece/nephews sake. You dont need to be accusational, just ask them to please make an effort to find out more about this man to put your mind at rest at least.

I also think it may be an idea to try the local probation or police with his erg photo? Just be discreet

get the feeling ill be reading about this guy in the paper.

in todays society you cant trust no one. the level of trust that appears to have been put in this guy with so little known astounds me.

Its totally amazing how people are naive and lack the ability to sense dangers that could arise.

sure as hell know i wouldnt be putting myself in this position.

So then whatsThePoint can you give the OP a few scenarios of why an innocent person won't give his name or where he works or lives to people that view him as a friend.

i still dont get it

if they didnt find out anything about him what did he chat about????
i think there is more here than you know.

Double negative, you pretty much said that you can trust everyone therefore your point has been rendered invalid

i would rather be safe than sorry too many sick ppl in this world to take a chance sounds very dodgy he is getting in with them for some reason thats obvious...

Some parents should never be parents.
OP if you are not having some sort of sick fun here then it's your duty as a Adult to protect the child & must as suggested follow the guy in his car & also do Reg check on his car.

Some parents are just 100% stupid....And yes I'm saying the guy is up to no good 100% no good.

would you trust a random?

This looks like it is grooming. He will treat the parents to a special evening out or weekend away and offer to look after the little one. Or some other such pretext.

It is not nice to label a stranger as strange, but this behaviour is strange. However the parents behaviour is even stranger in allowing it to continue. Kids are too precious to take these sorts of chances with.

OP has not been on for over a hour, maybe away to sort this out.

Lonely guys buys presents but refuses to say who he is or where he lives? Pedo is the obvious answer. It might not be right but it is the obvious answer.

Most of us would prefer to type crap that take the Chance of a kid being abused.

Lots of hysterical nonsense, but "hey" it's HUKD.
