No idea how it works, especially considering he apparently sends it back via special delivery, so out of the £18.50 he aint getting much! oO I think I heard if a phone has been blocked in britain it can still work abroad, so maybe flogging them abroad but where do the new phones come from???

    Stealing them?

surely he's using some little known way of getting a replacement from apple for applicable handsets (hence he needs the serial before agreeing to offer the service to you) ? maybe he is using a different apple service centre to do the replacement that are less strict than uk? all a bit weird tho'...

But why would apple then replace it, as like you say it would work at there service centre (abroad) and so would not be faulty/unusable?

    strange, very strange lol!

Maybe he buys up blocked phones from foreign eBay sites and gives you one of those. And then sells yours on a foreign eBay site, to a buyer in a country where the block doesn't apply.

its legit as he has good feedback from doing it from other users.

Bit of an assumption there surely?

not in hungary-they charge to look at it and repair..no estimate-so dont think so..v fishy tho

Scam. He's getting iPhones that have been blocked (because they are lost … Scam. He's getting iPhones that have been blocked (because they are lost or stolen), using a method (I won't go into here) to get them unlocked by the network then doing a warranty swap with Apple (who don't check lost/stolen) then sending you the replacement and charging you £40 for the 'service'.If you ever get caught, assuming your original iPhone was stolen and you use this guy, the offence is Converting Criminal Property under the money laundering section of the Proceeds of Crime Act.If you think any of the contact details will link to his genuine identity you deserve to be scammed!

I did consider him swapping the IMEI numbers of the barred phones (that's … I did consider him swapping the IMEI numbers of the barred phones (that's the only way I know of unlocking something) but then he would need lots of imei numbers and broken phoens etc.But why would apple then replace it, as like you say it would work at there service centre (abroad) and so would not be faulty/unusable?strange, very strange lol!

He could make up many things to get it replaced it's not difficult to get something replaced with Apple.
