How far up to the door frame do I put down carpet gripper rods

I've just been putting down some carpet gripper rods around the bedroom (wooden floor). I have now reached the door frame where a piece of skirting meets it. Do I place the gripper rod right up to, in front of the door frame? Also, where the door frame curves around a bit to meet where you put the threshold bar, does this piece need a small bit of gripper rod placed down as well (my door will be opening inwards)? Any advice appreciated about this bit. Thank you.
