How far up to the door frame do I put down carpet gripper rods

I've just been putting down some carpet gripper rods around the bedroom (wooden floor). I have now reached the door frame where a piece of skirting meets it. Do I place the gripper rod right up to, in front of the door frame? Also, where the door frame curves around a bit to meet where you put the threshold bar, does this piece need a small bit of gripper rod placed down as well (my door will be opening inwards)? Any advice appreciated about this bit. Thank you.

Small pieces around the bottom of the door frame about 2 inches long each. You dont need gripper going across the door if you are using a Threshold with gripper already in it. I.M.E.
