how long does it take for a reply off Admin?

i contacted them yesterday regarding my for sale post that was locked but as of now still no answer

it was locked as i was selling it for £200 instead of £182.50 what i paid for it but it says nothing in the terms and conditions that you are not allowed to do this and i know there are many items for sale on here that people paid less than there asking for it

    agreed

one of the fundamental rules of FS

you can sell for more than you paid for it, generally this site is for non profit though, but as long as the you are not above any RRP it should be ok.

With regards to ADMIN, well, good luck, pig ignorant in my opinion, not willing to listen to reason, wont admit that he or a mod team member is wrong and actually deal with the situation, the list goes on, but that's just my opinion, others may have had a better experience.. I didn't / havent.

On average i waited about a week for a response but as i kept asking why i didnt recieve any response (all done via the contact us button) I got told off for constantly messaging them and told it would be treated as spam if i continued, and still didnt get an answer to my problem.. lol

strike is correct, you cannot sell an item over the original rrp..this site is not meant to be used as a buisness, that's why its called hotukdeals.

woooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooo im right!!! party at my house

I don't think you will get a reply, I asked something and was blanked even though the mod made a mistake.

from what i can see, the DEAL price was £179.00 but the RRP is near £400??? from littlewoods anyway.. I cant find an exact same version anywhere else so all other comparrisons are not fair.

Basically dude, if that exact decking with rails etc as shown in the pic cant be had anywhere for less than the £200 you are trying to sell it at then you are ok to attempt to sell it here for that price.

Any DEAL that was cheaper but has now expired and gone back to RRP is not a valid comparrison.

But I would check if the exact item is available anywhere else for cheaper than what you are trying to sell it at, if not, then you are ok and yes the mods have made a mistake based on a DEAL price that is no longer available.

You think that offering a price less than 10% more than paid for is acting as a business? Dear me. You are not profiteering (by definition) - perhaps the mod misunderstands what that means.

basically they are trying to make a profit = a business

this site is built on trust & buying and selling cheaply, so its not right for someone to buy an item then charge more for it. MOST people sell at a loss or ask for exact cost back but profiteering from a deal is sad........ WE are here to save money not to buy & sell for more .......... EBAY is for people that want profits

thing is obvo at the time people could buy it cheaper so there kind of within their rights to say stuff, shame its accusing you obvo, but you can see where there coming from

I see what you are saying but surely the extra is to pay for the shipping of it? If i bought an item @ £200 but it's going to cost me £20 to post it, by offering it here @ £220 that would be the price paid plus the cost of getting it to its new owner.

    Thats allowed isnt it?

Again, less than a 10% mark up on one single item being sold is not a business activity, quite clearly. Again, it is also, by definition, not profiteering.

I would have thought that that was obvious, but some people seem to think that you're running a business which has one product line, one in stock, is less than 10% mark up, far less than RRP and is negotiable. Good luck with that business model.

I can think of several threads where bargains acquired have been sold as still bargain prices when people change their mind, they are not businesses.

Profiteering? Not a chance, anybody that suggests your sale is profiteering doesn't understand the word or term.

Yet again, not sure why you won't listen; there has been no profiteering in any form in this person's attempted sale. Look up what profiteering is, this isn't it.

Furthermore, the rules - not your opinion on what you think the site should be - on a purely legal sense, have no comment against this item, they have been incorrectly enforced from that perspective.

What planet am I on? What planet are you on? If you think that this is business activity then you need to take a step back and have a re-think. I will repeat:

One item, negotiable price, one in stock, far less than RRP, small amount to cover expenses and times, still a bargain for the buyer; not a business; not profiteering.

Lots of items, lots in stock; potentially a business.

Item is very high demand but low supply, war and limited supply, cartels, price fixing, buying all stock and with holding sales to artificially limit supply, selling far in excess of value; profiteering.
