    how long is a wee?

    that's right, how long is a wee? i'm not talking time, i'm talking length.

    to help explain, imagine that instead of urinating a liquid, you urinated string at the same flow, or rate. how long would the resulting string be?

    i will throw in a ball-park figure of 50m. feel free to create your own equations etc to back up any of your own strong opinions on this matter.

    I'd say about 20m at most for the average... It sounds rather painful urinating a string, like flossing your little man

    All depends on throughput, and therefore time and therefore, your original point is not right!

    If its a fast & furious, its not too long, whereas a slow trickle will build up the miles

    you are correct regardig the possible variation in the duration of a wee, so i think that we should presume an average urination for this. personal experience will be allowed for this discussion.

    I love stepping away from the toilet when I am bored and seeing how far I can stand away from the bowl and still get it in

    I reckon about 15 metres

    The answer will vary greatly depending on many factors but a good way to find out would be to messure the distance to the toilet bowl and time the stream of wee between you and the bowl. then just times the total time by this distance by time.

    a 100m sprint, ran by professional athletes, takes about 10 seconds. 10 seconds is a shorter period of time than the average time taken to wee. now, if the athletes were pissing as they ran, would they leave a constant line of urine behind them i.e. is the rate of urination great enough to cover 100m solidly. from this we can calculate a flow rate, depending on ppls opinions of track/urine coverage.

    i like your thinking, however i feel that the potential speed that the urine may equal could potentially split it, creating smaller segregated portions of wee.

    hmm, what about walking pace, or perhaps jogging. walking is about 3 or 4mph i believe.

    Considering the average male urinates 3 litres a day and 3 times a day that gives us an average if 1 litre per urination. Now 1 litre is 1000cm^3 therefore you will have a thread 10m long and 1cm thick... but only if it's a rectangular string lol

    YOU FOOL! Think about what you just said. It's the same. Let me give you an example. If you have a stone and you throw it hard it covers a longer distance than if you were to throw it lightly... Therefore if you were to pee harder the string would be longer and it would be as if someone was pulling it fast and when peeing slowly it would be as if someone was pulling it slowly. :thumbsup:

    My brain's too tired and broken to properly do the maths for this, but, the average bladder holds around 500ml of fluid, and one ml is one cubic centimeter of fluid. I guess, the average stream might be about 1/3rd a ml per cm of flow, which would make the average slash roughly 1500cm in length. 15m, in other words.

    Anything less is correctly referred to as a 'waz'.
