How long would you wait for second chance offer
I sold something off ebay which ended at 4o'clock.
The person bidded at the last moment so was online.
I've sent a message along with the invoice.
How long would you wait if person doesn't reply to give the next bidder a second chance?
Thanks

Even if the buyer was online, they are not oblidged to pay immediately regardless of your urgency for payment, what would you do if they pay in 3 days time? risk a neg and a non performing seller report?
Yes,it's a pain, but you have to be patient and it's best to wait until you are able to file the non paying bidder alert and have that closed before you relist or you are leaving yourself open to potential problems
Isn't there a fast pay option you can use if you need payment quickly? I'm not sure if that's what it's called but I know I have bought things before were I have had to make an immediate payment.
LOL, God love you!
Same here,if I buy something,I pay straight away,if I aint got the cash,I don't bid.

As someone has said, he could have been sniping. I do it a lot, set a snipe if something so I don't forget to bid. If I'm out/at work/asleep I may not pay until I next check online (sometimes the next day).
Anyway ... you are obliged to wait 4 days for payment before you can officially start anything via eBay.
Even more so, when on a buy it now, if they have the time and buy it then, then they can pay straight away.
If they can't in my eyes, they shouldn't be buying it.
If you pay straight away, the seller can then get the name sorted, and get it posted, Surely people want their item ASAP.
When a buyer takes 4/5days after the auction/Buy it now has ended, then the next day they message you to say WHERE IS MY ITEM?
You think to yourself, they took 4/5days to pay then whining have you posted my item yet, I need it on Sunday blah blah..

I don't mind at all waiting for payment as long as the buyer keeps you up to date and lets you know when they are going to pay.
You could always do as I do and give your unwanted good to charity but maybe you need to be "so poor" to do that. LOL
If you really are in dire need of the money, there are alternative ways.
