How many gb's of ram would you say this ebay auction suggests?.

Just received the ram this morning and feel a little misled, is it just me?
How many gb's of ram would you say this lot was for and what capacity?

2 x 2gig = 4 gig?

A (matching) pair of 2gb...........what have you received? (Or if you have received this - what where you expecting?)

I am guessing it's only 2gb in total rather than first impression of 2x 2gb?

Going by the picture of the product its a matched pair of 2 x 1GB but the description is misleading and would lead you to believe its a pair of 2gb modules, the corsair packaging is misleading too though, not the best description unless you have your wits about you.

To be honest I can see it both ways, the description titles repeatedly say TWIN 2x 2GByte 5400C4 Memory (ie 4Gb) but then in the textual description it says 2048Mb matched pair which suggests that the total is 2GB....you can probably get something back from them on the grounds of the titles...

I'd have said 2gb but only after reading it very carefully. At first glance it looks like it should be 4gb (2 x 2gb)

It says in the content TWIN 2x 2GByte 5400C4 Memory which to me is 2 x 2gb, but the rest says 2x 1gb

Why did you not ask before you bought its ebay and things are not always what they seem. Im reading it as 2gb ?

Yeah it is misleading I read it a couple of times before I bid on them but concluded he wouldn't exaggerate the capacity so surely the higher 2x2048 was correct, think i'll ask for a partial refund I wouldn't of paid more than £20 for 2x1024.

Cheers all.

Its not really misleading at all you should have checked on the web and with seller, i done a quick check and its only 2gb ? ballicom.co.uk/com…tml

The Twin2X2048-5400C4 is a 2048 MByte matched pair - that bit to me would suggest its only 2gb total but I can see why it would be misleading the way its all worded, you shoulda Pm'd the seller to ask or as someone said run a search first to see if you could get it cheaper elsewhere, but thats hindsight for ya.

Did you see that they were used?

Twin2x is and has always referred to (matched pair) Twin 2x 2048 has always meant 2x 1024 with Corsair marketting

Correct, It don't take much of a effort to check what your buying i found this out in one click.

The title says to me 2gb in total. The description says to me 2 x 2gb meaning 4gb. Though I know its probably only 2 x 1gb's

How difficult is it for a seller to describe something properly.

Clearly says TWIN 2x 2GByte 5400C4 Memory in item description, so this is where the confusion is of course.

If you are not happy you can open a despute under significantly not as described (I think it is)

That is of course if the seller will not offer you one anyway

Ebay will find in your favour and refund

the seller wrote this part himself

TWIN 2x 2GByte 5400C4 Memory which suggest 4gb so he himself messed up

I would not be refunding their money the description is fine and accurate the same way Corsair market it.

Unfortunately for the seller if the buyer opens a dispute in ebay they would most likley win, so there would be no choice but to refund.

Corsair's site makes it a little less confusing, the difference is that beside the kit number/product code on the site they list the kit size. There is also no space between N & the 2

If the seller had of put 2gb kit in brackets beside his description then there would have been no doubt.

Anyway, best email the seller and either ask them for a refund or part discount

Also why not just write somewhere in the listing 2x 1gb sticks? That is what they are I think? I am away, a headache is on its way, I get a headache when I think too hard
