How much do you pay for Broadband?

I am looking to find an alternative Broadband Supplier as I am currently paying almost £42 a month!

That does include virgin phone and TiVo with min channels (which I don't use because it's annoyingly slow)

I have been with Virgin all my life so no experience of other providers so I am nervous about switching.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Ps - There are 3 of us at home - we steam Tv and watch YouTube, use FaceTime etc.. Don't really download anything

    It's free at McDonald's.

    £43 and some pennies for
    TV: M + Tivo box
    Interwebs: L
    Telebone : XL

We've been with VM since it was NTL and renegotiate (politely threaten to leave) every 18 months.

Sorry I misread, thought you'd got XL Tv package.

I've got a similar plan to you.

    Lol at your renegotiation skills

Fibre unlimited with sky. Just over 15 pound a month including line rental! No TV though!

That would have been an insane deal and I would have demanded the HUKD crown for that one.

Someone in our street has XL TV, Web & Phone but no sports and pays over £130 another neighbour has the same but pays just over £100, rather despicable the difference if you ask me.

Mine is working out just over £13.50 for BT Fibre infinity 1.

That's with £132 Quidco cashback and £100 MasterCard.

£20 unlim ADSL, unlim UK landline inc 08xx, 3000min UK mob, unlim landline 42 foreign countries, unlim mob in a few foreign countries. EE 30day rolling, but would consider fixed-term at this price.

Is Sky Fibre worth it? Currently on 17mps

I payed about 90 quid this time for talk talk for 12 months but I wouldn't recommend them sky ee and the rest all seem to be fine had sky before that for 65quid all in for 12 months. that was very good went dow about 1 or 2 times in 12 months speed was about 7/10 meg talk talk I'd slow and stops working almost every other day and speeds are less at 4/7 meg. probably best thing do is wait when a good deal comes on either mse or uswitch move over to sky or ee or BT but they are quite expensive still will be cheaper than what ur paying most likely. On some paying up front helps with the price aswell.

£21.31 for sky fibre unlimited including line rental and sky talk anytime. In total £33.31 for everything including Sky Q 2tb box, boxsets, multiroom etc.

How silly are they to pay that much, wow.

Doesn't seem all that long ago that you could get XL tv, Phone and BB for £35!
I remember haggling it for my Mum a few years back.
Her bill has since sneaked up to £100 but she does have sports and movies as well now.

I'm currently looking at the Nowtv deals.
(Already pay £10 a month with them for cinema pass)
Guessing this would be with Sky.

Will have a look into sky infinity - That seems to be coming up real cheap too.
    Thank you x

£15pm VM BB (50MB speed), no phone line.

I was like you, was only with VM since NTL but jumped ship 2 yrs ago to BT and it was much better and faster.

Having said that BB speed from providers will vary from street to street, including for VM. So check online as to what is the actual measured speed in your street!

Talktalk faster fibre 28.50 a month for 38/2 or with a fibre boost to 80/20 for only 34.00 as the 80/20 is only five pounds more a month so you can start on 38/2 then upgrade to 80/20 for 5 pounds more are on their website you can get the 80/20 straight away for 34.00 pounds

Works very well with only occasional 'slow/' issues, usually just after firing up laptop which is probably more a Windows issue.

people were getting better deals at the time but I missed out. There were getting the same as me for £26 and £31 with the 80mb bb. sky are very strange with deals. I'm guessing the other guy you replied to does get all he said for £33 so in addition to me double bb, the better sky q box and an additional mini box to use in another room.

£30 pm VM for the full house bungle

Yes we have the mini box too (only thing we've had any issues with, it does sometimes need rebooting due to going to a black screen with a small tv screen where preview is) every other room we just have the sky go app on games consoles so it can be watched through that, although choice is a little more limited on the app. Plus we have Nowtv set up via apps every room for movies as Nowtv was a lot cheaper for the movie channels than anything sky offered me when I signed up.

Be careful as broadband is not always fiber..
The speeds can be 2x or 8x faster.. Also some deals are capped.
We pay £28.50 for EE fibre unlimited and about £70 to sky.. Full package sports movies etc Inc three boxes
