How much for plumber to remove wire from washing machine?

Apparantly this is quite a common problem so I thought at least someone here would have experienced it.

We have a bra wire stuck in the washing machine, a tiny bit is sticking up out of one of the holes (it can't be wrenched out with pliers though).

I wanted to know if anyone had called out a plumber for this so I could get a rough idea of the cost (rip off I'm sure).

done it myself with something similar in the past. All I did was unplug the machine then took off the back of the machine, then at the bottom of the drum you will see the heater element. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the element in place and take it out. From there I then used some long nosed pliers to grab a hold of the wire. Took about 15 minutes and no doubt saved a fortune.

then just push it completely through and it will work its way out of the drum
ps. most people suggest popping bra's into a pillowcase to prevent this happening. I shove them down the the sleeves of workshirts instead.
