    very true.

    Not SAVED anything.

The purchases I made I wouldn't have done if they weren't in the sales. So, I didn't save I lost money.

must be a bit tight there then, i waited to buy what i wanted/needed like next years christmas gifts or birthdays to come, also things like bed sheets are always handy, cant believe how negative some people are to this? i thought it would be a good way to show how much you have saved on boxing day sales on items you may use every day!!

I picked up a Sigma SD14, I've had my eye on this camera for a while and have been pricing up options to get one from the US so the Jessops deal was great. Need to get myself a new fleece jacket so will need to have a wander round the shops as I think know is the best time to get one.

its not being negative to remind people that stores artificially inflate retail prices by large margins and then reduce massively for sales thereby giving consumers the false impression they have made big savings. M&M Direct are the worst offenders I have come across and the quoted savings you believe you made are very misleading. The BOGOF on KS duvets for £14.99 from argos has been going for months and £20 for a tree with decorations and lights is about the right price to pay - £55 is just ridiculous.

All I am trying to say is, don't fall into the trap of buying stuff you 'may' need because you think you are saving money. The only true way to save money is not to spend it in the first place.
