Hello people, hope your all having a wonderful weekend!

Can anyone tell me how much a small garage should charge me minimum & maximum if i wanted these parts replaced (providing i were to provide them with my own parts + oil)

Oil replacement
Oil filter
4 Spark plugs
Air filter

depends on make and model of the car, depends on make and model of parts to be replaced with i.e. oil, filter, spark plugs, depends on how much they charage for labour. also depends is there decent and honest or dodgy and rogue. theres a number of variables here but could be talking betwen £75-200 quid estimate.

Hi, its a Vauxhall Astra H, 1.6i 2005 model, i will buy the parts myself, just need the garage to fit.
probably about 50-150 labour costs i cant see being any cheaper tbh.

some won't take the job on or will bump the labour up as they won't be … some won't take the job on or will bump the labour up as they won't be making anything on parts Get a garage to do oil and filter will them suppling and fit plugs and filter yourself

+1

National tyres (if pre-booked online) should be about £26 for oil and filter change and do the spark plugs and air filter yourself.

If you are going to buy the parts then just do it yourself..........a simple service like that is very easy to do.
Do it yourself, oil change is surprisingly easy

Depends on the car , i know on my Vectra they have to drop the protective cover under the car, its not very easy to do on a driveway !

Personally i would get National to do the oil and do the other bits yourself

True, I've only ever done my Focus and my old Punto, both of which were pretty accessible, suppose others might not be
I can't see any garage doing this, they will want to provide all parts themselves.

not sure my jack will lift the car high enough, i only have the jack that came with the car for tyre changes.
If you're that way inclined you'd be much better off spending the money on a decent trolley jack, some axle stands and a decent socket set.

They'll pay for themselves in no time.

no reason why a garage should'nt, we do & just charge labour, & waste disposal fee. fortunately not all garages are out to rip people off or make vast profits on parts.

good advice, you dont want to be just sticking a jack under there that came with the vehicle with out axle stands, I've seen too many over the years that have slipped off using just the supplied jack.

Probably ramp up the labour rates though as by providing parts you can make the labour look slightly better by moving some of that onto the parts costs.
I hate changing oil - it always seems to go everywhere. A 4 print milk carton with the side cut out is a useful collector (don't use the kitchen basin!)..... make sure you've put the top back on the carton though.

I've seen a lot of garages around where I live with signs stating .............service & MOT from £99 ....
Still seems alot of money for the service part as an MOT is about £52 .Changing the parts your supplying is less than half an hours work . I have always done my own servicing on my motors , mainly Fords & Vauxhalls . I have both a Vectra & Zafira and changing oil and all filters are easy to do although a little messy .If you know anyone with a Vauxhall trade card , you'll get the service parts really cheap : Oil =£10 , Filter = £1.70 , plugs =£8 .
I would have a go at it yourself if I was you ........and you'll probably do a better job .
