I realise this is how the BBC have labelled it, but the quiz is nothing to do with smartness. You could get a good score purely by guessing.
What this actually is though, is a test of recall. If you have never been taught these things, or if you have forgotten the correct answer, your score is likely to be lower.
Nothing to do with smartness, which is about working through a problem.

18/20, anyone know how to find the maths test?

    Supermod

20/20. English is my thing though.

im ashamed to say I only got 14/20, but I was in a rush to be honest.
Cant believe so many people got such a high score though!

    It's only an english test.

    Bring on the maths test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

14/20 for me and I think I was lucky to get that. I passed English at school but it was all such a long time ago.

    I agree.
I got 20/20 and i didn't have to figure out anything - it was just stuff I recalled.

You're right of course, my powers of recall are obviously not up to scratch! Interesting that you can use either when the person's name ends with an s, which is probably what I was thinking of. :whistling:

    *hopes he got person's right*

18/20 don't think i'll do very well in the maths test though
