well, I let my battery run out then put it in the car with some damp cardboard when I was camping.

The sun came up and created moisture in the car by drying the cardboard out.

dunno what broke it or if it was a combination of the two but it's never booted up since.

The easiest thing to do if yours works OK would be to swap mine for yours then we'll both be happy

Lmao well bit of a funny story really with mine!
The iPod itsself crashed fully then i rang john lewis and apple up, blah blah blah john lewis are sending me out a new 120gb =D and then they collect the old one and then as they put the phone down the order been put through and everything, my iPod resets!
Now it has been crashing quite frequently, do you reckon I should just leave it and then just let them collect it etc ( gonna let the battery run down)

Stick in the icebox of your fridge

yes as you can say it is intermittent:thumbsup:

Do you think they will even care tbh lol?
Its not like theyre gonna check en route to john lewis lol!

if you report it as an intermittent fault that should work, just say that it's started working some of the time. It's hard for them to say your lying if you've told them it's intermittent.

I'd have thought JL would just send it back to apple though who will sell it on as a refub after testing and changing anything that needs changing so you might be better off leaving it? hummmm tough one that

How long have you had it?

    drop in bathtub

Well I reported it as fully crashed as thats what it was!
I dont want to water damage it lol!
But I cant report it as intermittent because Its already been dealt with and I dont really wanna ring up again lol
Tbh if apple are just going to fix it and sell it again i doubt they will try and contact me about it etc, because its less work for them

No idea but at a guess i'd say stick a higher voltage down it, though with anything you do you have to be careful that you don't damage it in such a way that they can say you intentionally done it (for example dropping it in the bath)

Possibly, the ipod may have a function that remembers the last time it was turned on

Whether or not they would check it even if it does exist I don't know
