I know just the thing. The dvd 'Idiot Abroad'. It is a documentary type series but so so funny!!

or 'Miranda' from BBC 2. Excellent series, series 1 on DVD series 2 on Iplayer. Innocent and old fashioned comedy, almost slapstick but hilarious. She'll love it I promise.

Thats episode 1, 2 and 3 are on there too (4 will air on Monday at 8.30)

You don't have to have watched series 1 to follow series 2 either.

Give her a hug and tell her you love her.

Sometimes what mums would like is something really unuseful - a real luxury. Perfume? A new coat? Maybe just a good book and the time to read it.

Gawd if my dd bought me any of these I'd cry !!

How about a voucher for a spa day or a treat of some sort ?

The Spa is a great idea, esp in this weather, however if your budget is tight then what about taking her out for a nice meal?
