Having looked at the "deals" section and seeing all the posts relating to Wii Fit availability I thought people may be interested in how to get one fairly easily. I'm sure others will have thought of this already but if you haven't, you can order one from Amazon Germany. There is one main drawback to doing this in that the site is in German. However, if you open up Amazon.co.uk in a separate window and use that as a guide to work through the German site, it works a treat. For whatever reason there's usually plenty available to buy in Germany (my brother in law lives there) and the cost is comparable to buying one here. Just thought people may be interested to know this if you hadn't thought of it already.

I haven't looked recently but my brother in law (not the one in Germany) bought one about three months ago and he said that it was very similar to the price of one here i.e. £69.99. Obviously the price (exchange rate) will vary from day to day, but if you're anxious to get one, it seems fairly easy to do.

Just had a look. A new one is 89.95 Euros. Seems comparable to our price.

I think the manual etc will be in German too, I think the game will do English though.

When my brother in law bought his I can confirm that the game could certainly be played in English. I didn't check with him about the manual although even if it was in German he worked out how to use the board fairly easily.

The game language for the Wii Fit software auto adjusts to the language setting of European Wiis, so on a UK Wii it will be in English.

The manual for the Balance Board is in English, but the Wii Fit software manual will be in German (or French if you have a French Wii Fit). Not a problem though as an English manual can be downloaded from here:

nintendo.com/con…pdf

(also linked to in the pages I referenced in my earlier message).

Price is the same as the UK price (maybe a smidgeon less due to our VAT being lower) plus 4 or 5 quid for shipping to the UK.

Obviously the germans don't want to get fit!!

These are easy to get. Ive had many opportunities to get one.

Why dont you just wait for the next big store to get them in stock. Patience required.

I got a wii a couple of weeks ago, and in that time play.com had them in stock and yesterday so did Tesco Direct

do amazon.de have anything cheaper than in uk? thinking along lines of netbooks but they seem pricey on there.
