how to get out of virgin contract early

Found 26th Oct 2008
hi - sometime in august this year i took out a contract for phone+broadband internet large size with virgin initially paying £28 per month. however since then I v been receiving bills of about £60 - 80 per month reason being of + telephone charges. I think i do use the phone but the calls are quite expensive. is there anyway i can get out of the 12 month contract as want to go with 02 now for their cheap broadband???
thanks

i think you are stuck with the contract but.
you can change you package to include all calls not sure on price but give them a ring.

International calls?

mother-in-law took non cable one but didnt receive any services from them so called them as she was being charged person on the other end at virgin was quite horrid so she cancelled services and they are now billing her for 180 pounds and shes retired

thanks for all feedback - yes i do use the phone for international calls however i use calling cards; i did give them a call to ask for the price of free calls which is an additional £8 per month - i think that would be too expensive for me. is it true if virgin changes their policies (any one of their policy) - i can cancel my contract with them?

www.ratebuster.co.uk is what I use for international calls. Don't think you will have much chance canceling after such a short period of time.

I've been with them for about 14 months now (18 month contract, just the mobile package) , and for the past 3 or 4 months my bills have been like £40-£50 more than they ever had been...all because they've changed the regulations on calls and prices.

I really want to get out of my contract with them aswell but can't see any way possible :-(

Only if the changes directly affect you or a service you've used in the past...
