how to remove the annoying o2 balance notification sms

I am using O2 pay as you go and after every text, even with free texts, I get a notification bubble and alert sound telling me what my balance is.

This is really annoying and I'd like to disable it.

It is not a WinMo alert and cannot be disabled in the standard sounds and notifications screen, I think it is a SIM card/O2 network thing.

Does anyone know how I can disable it?

It's driving me mad, ping-ping-ping-ping all day long after every text!!

cheers, Cojo

Hiya if you ring o2 and ask them to remove balance notification they will switch it off for you.............i agree its so annoying!!!

omg, I've put up with it for ages, only had it since I got my new phone, thought it was something to do with the phone, have spent many hours going through all the settings trying to get rid of it lol.

Most annoying part of it is that if you don't remove the screen, your phone won't let you know you have more texts.

o2 can switch it off???

ooohhh will tell O/H, his phone constantly ping ping pings reminding him that he needs to top up his phone, even when he still gets free texts, it's so annoying
