How to stop a leg brace slipping down?

Posted 15th Jan 2010
Ok, so I have done myself an injury, Do'h.. lol

Have been put in a leg brace for a week, the kind you wrap round and velcro in place, but everytime I'm upright the damn thing slips down. It's driving me mad. Have tried it on a bare leg, over clothes, make no difference.

Really hard to hobble around on crutches when the stupid thing slips.

Any ideas how to keep it in place without resorting to superglue?

when I had mine I just had to keep tightening the straps but still had the same problem. ended up wearing trainers/ boots with it so it kinda rested on the top of them if you get what I mean.

oh and you have my sympathy. still have nightmares about going to the toilet with the damn thing on.

This is the right size for me, the size under wouldn't go round my leg.

It feels snug when my leg is up, my knee doesn't move, which is as it should be, just as soon as I stand up, it falls down. Grrrr
